Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire are famous for many things and attract visitors from around the world every year. Historic buildings, spectacular gardens, amazing shopping and local attractions means that there is plenty to explore nearby during your stay with us.

Bicester Village

Bicester Village is located just 15 minutes from Magnolia Park. This luxury destination is home to more than 160 boutiques of world-famous brands, each offering exceptional value with savings of up to 60% on the recommended retail price all year round.  Together with a selection of restaurants and cafés, the Village offers luxury services including Valet Parking, hands-free shopping, and onsite tax refund and money change service.

City of Oxford

The cultural capital of Oxfordshire is Oxford, known as The City of Dreaming Spires. Oxford offers plenty of historic tourist attractions to enjoy on days out. One of the world's most famous university cities, Oxford is a wonderful place to wander: the oldest colleges date back to the 13th century, and little has changed inside the hallowed walls since. But along with the rich history, tradition and energetic academic life, there is a busy, lively world beyond the college walls, and the city’s non-university majority far outnumber the academic elite.

Boarstall Tower

Boarstall Tower is a 14th-century moated gatehouse located in Boarstall and less than 5 minutes walk from Magnolia Park. It was built by John de Haudlo in 1312 to defend his fortified manor house residence of Boarstall House. In 1778, the medieval house was torn down and what remains is the tower. The interior chambers of the gatehouse tower have remained almost completely unaltered over the past 400 years and with its beautiful surrounding gardens it is now a National Trust property and offers tours on Wednesday afternoons.

Boarstall Duck Decoy

A 17th-century duck decoy located in Boarstall next to Boarstall Tower which is now a National Trust property. At one time a common sight in the English countryside, only four duck decoys now remain. It is still in working order and surrounded by 13 acres of natural woodland. The duck decoy was used to catch large numbers of waterfowl, originally as a source of food. Today the National Trust organises demonstrations and any birds caught are ringed for ornithological study.

Blenheim Palace

Blenheim Palace is a monumental English country house situated in Woodstock, Oxfordshire. It provides an awe-inspiring experience for visitors and is a masterpiece of Baroque architecture. Home to the 12th Duke of Marlborough and his family and the birth place of Sir Winston Churchill, the UNESCO picture-perfect British stately home sits among more than 2,000 acres of extraordinary landscaped parkland and formal gardens, created by the legendary Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown who created a lasting legacy at Blenheim Palace.
