Magnolia Park Blog - October

October was an extremely busy month here at Magnolia Park, both out on the course and inside the clubhouse. With reasonable weather, for the time of year, the golf course saw our highest number of Stay & Play golfers with us for October. The weather was also beneficial for the recovery of the course following the hollow coring programme carried out at the beginning of the month, as detailed in our 'On the Course' Blog.

We also hosted two large weddings plus numerous conferences including McCormick UK Limited, based in Haddenham, for a 4 day residential training conference.

As we now move towards the busy festive season, November is also shaping up to be a hectic month with conferences and events taking place including the annual Chearlsey Cricket Club Dinner Dance and the Southern Moto Cross Association Dinner Dance, both of which are with us again this year.

As mentioned in last month's Blog, our regular conference client Avansa Limited have published Unforgettable Recipes, a cookbook to raise money for The Alzheimers Society, both to support people affected by dementia as well as help fund research into the condition. The book is available at Reception for only £10 and features 46 recipes, including two donated by Miranda Gore Browne, a former finalist on the Great British Bake Off and hopes to raise more than £25,000 from proceeds of the sales..
